Moo Cards and Crafts

I just received my Moo business cards in the mail today!! YAY! They are so perfect and tiny! Although they come in a nice box, I made a little pouch to hold small quantities.

While making the moo card pouch, I decided to also make a padded pouch to hold one of my larger terrarium necklaces. I lined the inside with felt using fusing paper and then sewed it together.

I also wanted to share some embroidery work I've been doing. I'm still learning but it's been super fun so far!

Creating the Quilt: part 2 and a New Book

Today, as a follow up to Creating the Quilt Part 1, I have sewed together the columns and ironed all the seams. I still have a long way to go so expect more posts in the future.

Also, here's another awesome book I received for Christmas. The pictures beautifully capture the succulents all over the world in their natural environments rather than in gardens or pots. This book will come in handy as a reference guide whenever I create or maintain desert terrariums.

Creating the Quilt: part 1

Throughout the next couple of weeks I'm going to be documenting my process of making a queen size quilt.  I recently moved and don't have a table or work space yet so I'll be working on the floor for now.

Here are the first few steps:

I have many more squares to cut before I can begin sewing them together....
